CARNIVAL 2023
Carnival celebrations will be observed in Trinidad and Tobago on Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st February, 2023. As is customary, all Campuses will be closed and classes suspended on these days.

Two students of The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) will represent the University at the 19th National Youth Parliament Debate on Monday 29th November, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
Ms. Chelsea Bacchus and Ms. Anna Ram will be representing as the Speaker of the House and as the Minister of Education respectively.
The students will share on the topic “Mandatory Vaccination in Secondary Schools and the Workplace”.

LIBRARY INITIATIVES DURING UNIVERSITY CLOSURE
In order to continue to provide an effective library service to students while the University to closed, UTT Libraries has effected the initiatives below.
We look forward to working with you as we get through this period together.
INCREASE IN STUDENT FEES - UPDATE
On Monday 19th July 2021, the President and senior academic staff members met with members of the student body to discuss their concerns regarding the increase in student fees from the new academic year 2021/2022.
As a result of these discussions, and further internal discussions, the increase in registration fees has been deferred to September 2022. Please note that as agreed to in the meeting with the student body that the fees will be gradually increased in increments over three (3) years as follows:
Please note that this fee will be applicable to all students, both new and returning.
In addition, plans for an enhanced Student Aid programme and a flexible payment plan are being developed to assist students.
I express my appreciation and thanks to the members of the Executive Student Guild for their willingness to collaborate with UTT’s management to ensure that the concerns of our valuable stakeholders, our students, are addressed.

1. What is the cost to participate in the programme?
NXplorers is free of charge to all undergraduate students.
2. Do students need anything, in particular, to participate in the programme?
These online workshops require electronic device such as a laptop, cell phone or tablet with a good/stable internet connection.
3. Minimum requirements to participate in the programme
Undergraduate students attending UWI and UTT (no older than 25 years old) can participate and will be required to complete two (2) simple questionnaires administered at the beginning and end of the programme.......

National Health Research Conference 2021
It is a Call for Abstracts to be presented at the upcoming National Health Research Conference 2021 on Nov 18 and 19, 2021.
The theme for this year's conference is 'Building Research through Resilience in a Pandemic'. The conference organizers are inviting IRB approved research from postgraduate research students and faculty in all health areas.
Please note that research DOES NOT have to be consistent with the theme. All other relevant information is provided in the attached flyer.

Attention: All International Students – Procedure for Requesting Re-Entry Letters
As the university nears the end of our 2019/2020 1st Semester Year, we are aware that some of you are travelling home for the vacation period. As such, upon return to Trinidad and Tobago you would be required to present a letter of re-entry to the immigration officers at the airport. All requests for re-entry letters must be submitted by Friday 20th December, 2019 to the International Office at internationaloffice@utt.edu.tt.
All students are encouraged to submit your requests for re-entry letters at the earliest and to include your date of return to Trinidad.
